Find a TS LAWCET Center Near You in Hyderabad

When applying for TS LAWCET & PGLCET 2024, candidates in Hyderabad are required to choose 3 options from four distinct test zones. Since Hyderabad is large, centers need to be in close proximity of the candidates’ residence to ensure convenience.

Understanding Test Zones

Only Hyderabad, the district and city, encompasses multiple areas and zones, making it one of the more complex regions for selecting test centers. Unlike other districts in Telangana, where the test center towns/cities are clearly mentioned and there is no scope for confusion, Hyderabad’s multiple zones can be challenging to navigate. This article aims to clarify the zones to help candidates make an informed choice.

In Telangana, other districts hosting the exam have clearly defined test centers in specific cities and towns. For instance, places like Nalgonda, Khammam, and Warangal have specific cities/towns mentioned. Similarly, in Andhra Pradesh, the test centers are primarily in a few cities, there is no choice of center but only choice of city.

I have mentioned the various areas in the test zones in Hyderabad for your benefit. I have also gone ahead and checked for Metro stations nearby and mentioned them.

1. Hyderabad East (Zone 1)

This zone covers the eastern parts of Hyderabad and includes the following areas:

There is no indication from LAWCET Convener or TSCHE that they will make attempts to give us a center with nearby proximity.

Choosing the Right Zone

Selecting the appropriate test zone is crucial for ensuring a convenient and stress-free examination experience. Here’s a guide to help you decide:

If you reside in the eastern parts of Hyderabad or nearby areas like Secunderabad or Uppal, choose Hyderabad East (Zone 1). This zone will have centers closer to your location, reducing travel time and stress.

For those living in the northern parts of the city, including Suchitra, Kompally, Medchal, IG Statue, Bolarum and Dundigal, Hyderabad North (Zone 2) is your best option. It encompasses several localities in the northern part of Hyderabad, providing convenient access.

Candidates in the southeastern areas of Hyderabad, including LB Nagar, Nagole, and Shamshabad, should opt for Hyderabad South East (Zone 3). This zone covers many prominent areas in the southeast, making it ideal for residents of these regions.

If you are from the western regions of Hyderabad, such as Ameerpet, Yousufguda, Bharatnagar, Moosapet, Kukatpally, Hafeezpet, or Moinabad, choose Hyderabad West (Zone 4). This zone includes many localities in the west, ensuring you find a center nearby.

Important Instructions

1. Selection and Availability: While filling the application form, the test zones will be displayed based on availability. Once a zone reaches its maximum capacity, it will no longer be available for selection. You have 3 preferences for a center. Choose in accordance with your preference based on the zones nearby/preferable by you. Choose an area that you already know about so that there is no confusion on Exam day.

2. Choice of Regional Center: Candidates must select their preferred regional center during the online application process. Once chosen, requests for changes are usually not entertained.

3. Convener’s Rights: The convener reserves the right to add or remove test centers and to allocate candidates to any center, irrespective of their choice. (My personal view is that there should be another zone called Hyderabad Central which includes Ameerpet, Punjagutta, Yousufguda, Begumpet etc.)

4. Pre-exam Visit: It is advised to visit the allotted examination center beforehand to avoid any last-minute issues. Latecomers will not be allowed to enter the examination hall, so ensure you reach the center well before the start time.

Metro Connectivity

Many test zones in Hyderabad are well-connected by the Metro, though some walking or a bike taxi might be required to reach your center from the station. The test centers are usually located in computer labs within colleges or dedicated test centers, equipped with fans and open windows. No ACs are present in most places. If you are lucky, you may find an AC center.

Request for Center Change

Candidates who wish to change their selected test center can do so by clicking on the “Request Center Change” button available on the official TS LAWCET website. If this button is not visible, it means that the deadline for making changes has passed.

Choosing the right zone not only makes the exam day less stressful but also ensures you are familiar with the location, reducing the chances of any unexpected issues on the day of the test. Plan wisely and select the zone that best suits your location.
